Earlier on Tuesday, Union Minister Scindia held a review meeting and discussed the 100-day action plan of the postal department. Under his dynamic leadership and direction, the Postal Department aims to transform and enhance efficiency in service delivery through important initiatives to benefit the country and its citizens.
According to the Communications Ministry, the postal department will organize 5,000 postal chowpals across the country within 100 days. “This initiative aims to bring essential government and citizen-centric services directly to rural areas, improving availability and convenience. Postal Chowpals will serve as an important link between rural residents and government activities, reducing barriers such as distance and availability. The Ministry of Communications said in a statement.
The Post Office Export Center Scheme is set to increase rural exports by supporting small scale exporters. This initiative provides essential services including documentation assistance, market information, bar-coded label printing and e-duty payment.
